Review: Set in the 90s and early 2000s, Kenda follows Keshava's journey, an ordinary worker struggling to navigate society. The director skillfully weaves the script with supporting characters and situations. Though the narration is slow, the film aims to make the audience think, and the director manages to achieve this.
The characters and the atmosphere surrounding Keshava are well-crafted. The story, though simple with everyday characters and events, stands out due to its unique treatment. The film expertly portrays how people become pawns in politics without realizing the impact. Dialogues like "Everyone's life has a purpose, sometimes, it's realized only after death" leave a strong impression.
While the silences between dialogues might feel prolonged, they are necessary for the narrative. The cinematography could have been more powerful, but the portrayal of characters and presentation of events keeps the audience engaged. Performances by Bharath and Pranav Shridhar are noteworthy, breathing life into their characters. Gopalakrishna Deshpande and Vinod Ravindran also deliver impressive performances.
