Review: Megha (Kiran Raj) and Megha (Kajal Kunder) are college students. Betrayed by their respective partners, they decide never to fall in love again. When they finally meet, they make a friendship pact where there is ‘no dependency, no questions, no demands, no arguments and no complaints’. Their bond becomes stronger over time, but the pact remains intact. While the people around them want to know about their relationship status, they seek to heal in each other’s company, while remaining faithful to friendship. When Megha’s former lover reappears in their lives, all the equation changes. Can they find their way back to each other?
Megha, at its core, is a love story. But the film takes an opportunity to explore the beautiful relationship between father and son, and two old friends. Kiran Raj and Rajesh Nataranga, who play father and son, set the tone right about their friendship right from the beginning. They are each other’s support systems. Rajesh Natrang and Shobhraj’s friendship angle is also explored with a fresh dimension. The film mainly highlights the importance of communication in relationships.
With universal subjects such as love and friendship, Megha shows human emotions in its pure form on the big screen. Rajesh and Shobraj steal the scenes with their years of experience. The duo excels at tugging the heartstrings when required. Kiran Raj and Kajal Kunder have put in a lot of effort and it shows. Joel Sakkari’s music adds value to the film.
Megha explores the essence of love and friendship with an emphasis on the importance of communication in all relationships.
