Four middle-aged friends - Vikas Chandra aka Vicky (Rohith Nagesh), Pradeep (Ashwin Hassan), Satish (Kuri Ranga), and Rohan (Vignesh Kamath) - lead a carefree life spending time with each other boozing, neglecting their families. Pradeep’s addiction starts affecting his relationship with his wife Niharika (Nishita Gowda). By the time he realises his mistake, he is a bit too late. Vicky and his wife Sharada (Swathi) too have their struggles. Pradeep’s untimely death serves as a wake-up call for Vicky. But, is he late too?
The film follows the formulaic storytelling on addiction, its effects on families, and how one needs to rise above all to win the battle. Because of the way the story is told, this Anbu Aras film feels more like a 2-hour-long public service announcement, than a well-narrated film. Rohit Nagesh brings his soap opera experience to silverscreen with ease. The action sequences are a bit too much to take. The movie speaks about the need for compassion and timely intervention to save people from alcohol addiction. The simple story has a small twist in the end as well.
Despite its flaws, the movie serves as a ray of hope for those suffering from alcohol addiction.
