Synopsis: Kannan and Unni, two friends from neighboring houses, share a deep bond shaped by the little joys of life that defined every '90s kid. As they explore the wonders of childhood together, the question looms: will their friendship endure as they grow older?

Review: Nostalgia is at the heart of Pallotty 90s Kids. The film vividly captures a cherished era, reminding viewers of a simpler time—a world where friendship and innocence thrived, unencumbered by modern distractions. Jithin Raj brings together a myriad of memories familiar to '90s kids, emphasising a bygone age that seems nearly incomprehensible to the digital generation. His vision bridges this gap, inviting viewers of all ages to relish the analog warmth of those days, even if the occasional overdose of nostalgia feels a bit heavy-handed. Yet, the film’s sincerity and warmth more than make up for these moments.

Having won three Kerala State Film Awards, Pallotty 90’s Kids shines as a celebration of enduring friendship. Kannan (played by Davinchi Santhosh) is the elder of the duo, and his bond with the younger Unni (Neeraj Krishna) is portrayed with endearing authenticity. Together, they experience life’s little joys, from discovering nature’s beauty to savoring a simple chewing gum. Saiju Kurup, Sudhi Kopa, and Dinesh Prabhakar bring delightful cameos, enriching the film with moments of pure joy.

What makes the movie remarkable is how it rekindles our belief in friendship’s magic—the kind that becomes a pillar of strength and spreads bliss. The scenes are beautifully shot, with Sharon Sreenivas's cinematography capturing each frame like a warm memory. The music by Manikandan Ayyappa and sound mixing by Vishnu Sujathan add layers to this nostalgic journey, amplifying its emotional impact. Deepak Vasan’s screenplay, alongside Jithin Raj’s direction, weave a story that’s as heartwarming as it is relatable.

Pallotty 90's Kids is more than just a movie; it’s a love letter to a lost era and a reminder of the timeless power of friendship.
