South Indian actress Trisha Krishnan has responded to circulating rumours about her alleged marriage plans with characteristic wit. Reports suggested she is set to marry a Chandigarh-based businessman, prompting her to share a humorous note on Instagram, indirectly reacting to the speculation.
In her Instagram story, Trisha wrote, “I love when people plan my life for me. Just waiting for them to schedule the honeymoon too.” Her post appeared to playfully reject the rumours, without a formal confirmation or denial.

Media reports, particularly from ETimes, claimed that both Trisha’s family and the businessman’s family have approved the match and that the families have known each other for years. However, Trisha herself has not publicly confirmed any details, choosing instead to address the rumours with humour.
Trisha has previously shared her views on marriage, stating that she is open to it if the timing and person are right. Her parents have remained publicly silent regarding the reports.
The actress was engaged in 2015 to businessman Varun Manian, but the relationship ended due to differences over her career priorities. Since then, Trisha has kept her personal life largely private. She has also been linked in the past to co-star Vijay, with whom she shared several hit films in the 2000s. Fans speculated about their closeness after their 2023 reunion in Leo, but both actors have maintained that they are just friends. Vijay has been married since 1999.
Over more than two decades, Trisha Krishnan has established herself as a leading actress in Tamil and Telugu cinema, starring in commercially successful films such as Ghilli, Varsham, Athadu, and Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule. She made her Hindi debut with Khatta Meetha (2010), Kannada debut with Power (2014), and Malayalam debut with Hey Jude (2018). Her critically acclaimed performances include Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Yennai Arindhaal, Kodi, ’96, Ponniyin Selvan: I & II, and the series Brinda.
Trisha’s awards include five Filmfare Awards South, a Tamil Nadu State Film Award, and a Nandi Award. Her highest-grossing film remains the action thriller Leo (2023), highlighting her enduring appeal across South Indian cinema.
