Chiranjeevi undergoes minor shoulder surgery, reassures worried fans

Veteran actor Chiranjeevi has addressed concerns about his health after recent photographs showed him wearing an arm sling. The images led to speculation online, prompting the actor to clarify the situation himself.

Taking to X on February 16, Chiranjeevi shared that he had undergone a minor shoulder keyhole surgery. He posted a picture with his doctor, standing upright with his left arm in a sling, and assured followers there was no serious issue.

In his note, he wrote, “Several well-wishers have enquired about my health after noticing the arm sling. It was just a minor shoulder keyhole surgery. I am recovering well and already getting back to my routine.”

The update appeared to calm fans who had expressed worry over his recent public appearances. Chiranjeevi also thanked the surgeon who performed the procedure and acknowledged the care he received during treatment. “My heartfelt thanks to Dr. Nithin, one of the finest arthroscopy surgeons, for his care and expertise in making the procedure smooth and comfortable. Grateful for all your love, concern and blessings,” he added.

Messages wishing him a quick recovery soon followed.

Just days earlier, the actor had shared a heartfelt post for his son Ram Charan and daughter in law Upasana Kamineni Konidela after they welcomed twins on January 31. The couple named their children Shivram and Anveera Devi.

On February 14, Chiranjeevi wrote, “I have been receiving calls and messages from friends, relatives, and fans from all over, appreciating the beautiful names of our two little joys. With a proud heart, I extend my heartfelt love and appreciation to dear @upasanakaminenikonidela and @alwaysramcharan for their conscious, spiritually rooted choice of names drawn from our eternal cultural heritage and sanctified by the blessings of our sacred temples.”

He further said the names reflect devotion, cultural memory and divine grace passed down through generations. The family has largely kept the newborns away from public glare, seeking privacy.
