Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan CRITICAL, now on VENTILATOR

Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan was admitted to Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday morning after his health suddenly worsened. He was brought to the emergency department around 8.30 am by the family’s physician, Dr Sandeep Chopra, and later shifted to the Intensive Care Unit.

Initial reports suggested that the 90 year old writer was stable and under observation. However, later updates indicated that his condition was more serious than first believed. He has now been placed on ventilator support.

According to Filmfare, Salim Khan felt giddy before being hospitalised. Doctors reportedly detected a blood clot linked to high blood pressure. Sources said he will undergo a surgical procedure the following morning, depending on his response to treatment overnight.

Speaking to PTI, his treating doctor Dr Jalil Parker said a detailed medical bulletin will be issued at 11 am on Wednesday. He maintained patient confidentiality but shared a brief update. “He is stable but is under close observation regarding his clinical status,” the doctor said in an official statement.

Family members were seen arriving at the hospital through the day. Superstar Salman Khan was photographed entering the premises and later leaving with his security team. Dressed in a black T shirt and cap, he did not interact with the media stationed outside.

Salim Khan’s wives, Salma and Helen, were also present at the hospital. His daughter Alvira arrived with her husband Atul Agnihotri. Actor Aayush Sharma was also seen visiting. His grandsons Nirvaan and Arhaan were spotted during the day as concern around his health grew.

On social media, fans and members of the film fraternity posted messages wishing him strength and recovery.

Salim Khan remains one of the most significant names in Hindi cinema, known for shaping mainstream storytelling across decades. Further updates are awaited from the medical team.
