The release date of the upcoming film Nikita Roy, starring Sonakshi Sinha, has been pushed by three weeks. The supernatural thriller, which was earlier scheduled to arrive in cinemas on June 27, will now release on July 18, 2025.

The decision was announced through an official statement issued by the production team, citing an overcrowded release calendar as the reason for the shift. The statement read:

“Hi guys!

We have found ourselves in the midst of multiple releases and a battle for screens. With advice from our well-wishers in the fraternity, distributors, and exhibitors, we have collectively decided to push our release to the 18th of July, so that we can reach a wider audience.

Thank you for the immense love you have shown for the film so far but you’ll have to wait a little longer, and we promise you, 18th July will be worth the wait! See you in theatres!”

Directed by Kussh Sinha, the film brings together a cast that includes Sonakshi Sinha, Paresh Rawal, Arjun Rampal, and Suhail Nayyar. The screenplay has been penned by Pavan Kirpalani, who has worked extensively in the thriller space.

Nikita Roy is being produced under the banners of Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Films and Nikita Pai Films Ltd. The distribution is being handled by Baweja Studios, in collaboration with Bliss Entertainment, Movies PTE Limited, and Karmic Films.

The production team includes Nickky Khemchand Bhagnani, Viicky Bhagnani, Ankur Takrani, Dinesh Ratiram Gupta, Kinjal Ashok Ghone, and Kratos Entertainment. The list of co-producers features Anand Mehta, Prakash Nand Bijlani, Shakti Bhatnagar, Mehnaaz Shaikh, Chintan Dave, and Prem Raj Joshi.

While the film’s trailer and soundtrack have already drawn attention, the team appears confident that the new release date will offer better visibility and theatre access. With a revised release window, Nikita Roy now joins the list of mid-July titles competing for audience attention.
